In Remembrance Of Daniel
On 18 June 1994 Daniel's regiment, The Royal 22nd Regiment (nicknamed VanDoos) held a Regimental Parade in Quebec City to honor Daniel. His name was added to the R22eR Monument in the City of Quebec. This monument is in memory of all "Vandoos" killed in various wars.
The Corporals of the regiment honoured Daniel by renaming a Lounge in the Corporal's Mess at the Citadelle the "Gunther Lounge".
